Hi I'm Bailey

I've grown up as the oldest of four kids in Calgary, Alberta. I'm a Mormon missionary serving in the Canada, Toronto Mission.

About Me

I'm 18 years old and have grown up in an LDS family. I have two younger sisters and a younger brother back home who I love very much. I've been highly involved in athletics. Volleyball was the sport that I chose to follow and the one I excelled the most in. I've been to four national championships within Canada with my volleyball team and been to two international tournaments in Florida and California. I just graduated high school and plan on continuing my education after my mission by taking a combined Bachelor of Kinesiology/ Bachelor of Education degree, where I hope to keep possibilities and doors open for my future as maybe a physiotherapist or teacher. I'm hoping to find my self through this mission as I lose myself in His work.

Why I am a Mormon

I've grown up as a Mormon, however the choice to live and act like one was my decision. I am Mormon because I want to be. I've been able to grow and see how much this gospel touches my life and the lives of those around me. I'm not sure where I would be if I wasn't Mormon. We all have our agency and the ability to make our own choices. I chose to be Mormon and devote two years of my life to the Lord because of my love for this church and my Heavenly Father and Saviour Jesus Christ. I know that it is only through Christ's atonement that we can return to live with our Father above. I know that Joseph Smith restored the gospel to this earth and that he was a true prophet of God. I know that God has a plan for every one of us and wants us all to find the light and return to live with him after this life. I am so happy and grateful to be a Mormon. I know that this gospel has touched my life and made me the young man I am today.

How I live my faith

Growing up in the church I have been able to attend our meetings every Sunday. As I have grown older I've received different callings or roles in the church. At 12 I got to start passing the sacrament and performing sacred ordinances around the bread and water as we come together to renew our covenants and remember our Saviour Jesus Christ. By 14 I became a teacher and was now able to prepare the sacrament and go home teaching where I was able to help people understand of our Lord's love for them. At 16 I could bless the sacrament and as I was graduating at 18 I made the choice to serve a mission for this amazing church. Helping others to come unto Christ and teach them about this wonderful gospel.
