Hi I'm Kerstyn

I'm a dreamer, medically interested, future world-changer and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I currently am going to college studying Neuroscience and Biology with the hopes of one day becoming a pediatric surgeon. In June of 2017 I went on a Humanitarian trip to Santa Cruz Bolivia where I built a classroom at a local school. I have 4 siblings and we all grew up in Florida. I love to play soccer with my siblings. I also love music. I play French Horn and piano and I love to sing!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I love the gospel. I love the peace it brings to my life. I love the happiness that it brings to literally every fiber of my being and most of all I love to share the gospel. I love to make people feel God's love and the idea of being Christ's hands and feet on the Earth to serve His children is incredible. The Atonement is real and it's amazing. The literal son of a true and everlasting God came down and bore the sins of ALL mankind. He bled at every pore and He did so willingly because He loves us. We are children of God. I believe that everything in our life is meant to test us and bring us closer to Christ if we choose to do so. I love that He chose to give us agency - the ability to chose. The restored gospel of Jesus Christ did not start in Bethlehem nor did it end on Calvary. I have struggled throughout my life with feelings of failure, of not being good enough. But I have discovered that the gospel of Jesus Christ is an antidote to these feelings. Because of the Atonement, the Savior understands my fears, and He comforts me through the Holy Ghost. He knows my weaknesses, and He helps me to overcome them. He has never left me alone, but He has strengthened me and expanded my heart. I may never measure up by the world’s standards, but I feel valued, worthwhile, and loved when I do my best to live the teachings of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

When I was a youth, I served on the Stake Youth Council and that was my favorite calling by far! I loved starting and ending every meeting in prayer and continually praying for the youth throughout the meeting. Our job was to organize activities for the youth to not only have fun and make friends but to also come to Christ in a way that would stick with them! It was so amazing getting to think of the members of my stake with love and try my best to serve them.
