Hi I'm Jaron Larson

I grew up in Pleasant Grove Utah. I love meeting people and making friends. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to play sports such as basketball, baseball, soccer, flag football, wake boarding and things like that. I also play Xbox. I plan on attending Utah State University after an LDS mission. I love traveling and have been to many places in the world. Some places include Jamaica, Philippines, Kenya, Israel, Canada, and many of the states around the US.

Why I am a Mormon

Well I grew up being a Mormon but if I am completely honest then I haven't always been completely converted to the gospel. There was an experience I had where I was asked why I choose to keep striving to live the gospel and follow our Heavenly Father's commandments. It hit me pretty hard because I have never been asked that before. My dad has asked me a lot of times why I go to church and sometimes I would answer it was to make my mom happy, sometimes that was enough to get me to go to church. But to live the gospel everyday? Or at least try? There are many experiences I have felt and lived through that I know for a fact that I have a father in heaven, I have a loving brother/savior. I have felt a small glimpse of that love and there is nothing in this world that I want more than that feeling.

How I live my faith

My calling in the church right now is the Gospel Principles teacher. Which means I am teaching a lot of the basics of the church. It is actually really interesting and really nice to teach because I learn a lot when I prepare the lessons. Even though they are just the basics. It is great to hear examples and stories from the people in the class. I love getting to know them better and hearing the stories because you learn a lot from them and they are modern day examples. Its also great because of the spirit I get to feel in that class.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Jaron Larson
The lifestyle of a Mormon probably isn't too much different than yours. We strive to have joy and share joy with others. We do this in a loving way and ways that align with our savior's. We choose to not partake of anything that is harmful to our body because we believe that our bodies are a gift from god and I would say that, that is one of the main differences between people that are Mormon and people that are not. Even if people don't follow our standards we still love them and are not too critical towards them. Show more Show less
