Hi I'm Brett Patterson

I am a Texas born, Georgia raised, Brazil Belo Horizonte Missionary, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in many denominations you could say. Always traveling from one church to the next. My grandparents were members of the church as well as my aunts and uncles, making my family the so called "Black Sheep." It wasn't until I was 10 years old that we started going to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I never really payed that much attention in church, and it wasn't until I was fourteen years old that I began to build a testimony of my own. About that same time, my parents divorced and things began to get really tough. We began moving around a lot and started struggling going to church and almost fell away, but thanks to the missionaries, we didn't. ANd some how Heavenly Father helped strengthen my family and we began to see the blessings that came along with it. I currently am eighteen, almost nineteen, and I leave in seven days for my mission in Brazil Belo Horizonte Mission for two years. The things that Heavenly Father does for us and how the spirit guides us is truly inspiring.

Why I am a Mormon

Because the church is TRUE. It may sound crazy, but if you listen with your heart instead of your mind, you'll understand what I mean.

How I live my faith

I attend church and church activities regularly and am currently preparing to serve a mission.
