Hi I'm Isaiah Cook

I'm an engineer, animal lover, scuba diver, and an Eagle Scout.

About Me

I'm the oldest child in my family. My whole life I've been raised in Scouting and I am an Eagle Scout with 5 Eagle Palms. I am also part of the OA (Order of the Arrow). Since I was little I have seen the world in a different, but unique way then the rest of my family. Because of this I've excelled in math and problem solving, and now I want to become an engineer. When I'm around animals, I feel at peace and end up forgetting the world around me as I spend time watching and admiring the animal. I'm a person that you would see as a hard worker, a problem solver, a builder, a leader, and/or a creative thinker. I scuba dive. I love doing it because it's like being on a different planet, for the experience is unique. My favorite book series' are Maze Runner, Warriors, and Michael Vey. I love spending time outside, spending time with my family and friends, listening to music, working on one of my many projects, listening or reading a book, travelling, cooking, and helping other people out.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in a Latter-day Saint family. I chose to become a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I believe that families can live together forever. This is possible because after this life there is another that is eternal. Although I make mistakes in life, I know through the atonement of Jesus Christ, I can be forgiven of my sins.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in many ways. One of those ways is that I have chosen to go on a mission. I will be serving the people in the Utah St. George area for 2 years. I also try to go to the temple as often as I can. I keep and write in a journal, followed by daily scriptures reading and prayer. Although all of these things are easy to say, some of them are a challenge to do. One way I make it easier for me to do them is I have a personal declaration or affirmation that I wrote for me to say every day.
