Hi I'm Kari Archibald

I am a retired University Professor and a fifth generation member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

About Me

I retired recently after 35 years of teaching future leisure industry professionals at the University level. I love outdoor recreation and spend every opportunity I have to be in the mountains, on the water, at the beach, etc. I enjoy sharing these experiences with my grandchildren.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this faith (although my mother was not a member of the LDS church when I was a young child). Although I have always been taught in the Mormon faith, I have come to know for myself, through personal study, prayer and actions the truthfulness of the doctrines of the gospel of Jesus Christ. My first experience was as a teen when I questioned the teachings and sought out answers for myself. My testimony has been strengthened throughout my life as I have come to see how the Lord faithfully blesses my life through living the gospel. Things have not always been easy, but the Lord can sanctify the challenges of life and make them sacred experiences.

How I live my faith

I have spent that last ten or more years serving the youth in our church by organizing activities and teaching lesson. My husband and I are currently called to serve as a missionary couple in Nauvoo, Illinois for a year and a half.
