Hi I'm Riho

Hiker & venturer on Oahu, Hawaii. Love playing soccer/or any sport w/ friends. I love making new friends and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the second child of 8 children, I just finished my first year in college will be serving a full-time mission in Tokyo, japan. I am planning to go in the medical field but not set on a profession yet. I love finding new outdoor places to explore especially when it comes to waterfalls or hikes in general. I enjoy playing sports and think college intramurals is the best thing ever! I also resolutely love meeting new people and making friends wherever I go. If the weather isn't great, I also enjoy baking, cooking, or watching movies with good company.

Why I am a Mormon

I was lucky to be born and raised in this perfect gospel with the help of my amazing parents who not only love each of their 8 children but also continually show their love for the lord and this gospel every day. I have no doubt that this is the true restored gospel here on the earth. I know that families are meant to be together for the eternities and am so happy and relieved that I will be able to live with my family even after this earthly life. I know we are never alone and that with the lord, we can do all things. I know that everything we have to experience in this life, that it is meant for our growth and no matter what things we have done to make us feel undeserving of God's love...He loves us unconditionally and willingly forgives each of us. I know that Heavenly father sent his only begotten son, Jesus christ, to die for each of our sins...his sacrifice was made to help us overcome sin, adversity, and death. Because he expereinced each and every single challenge known to man...that ultimate sacrifice was made so we never have to go through such thing. He knows our weaknesses, our pains, our sorrows, sins, and sufferings and will be there to provide aid and give us comfort to help us overcome all our mortal challenges in this life. This gospel is True and it has the answers...you can live a happy life and I know that It is through this gospel that you can receive such happiness that last for eternity with the ones you love most.

How I live my faith

In my YSA ward in college, I served a the ward missionary and aside from inviting people to activities and fellowshipping others. I was also the FHE mom (coordinator) for two semesters so I planned various activities each Monday with our designated family group of 2 apartments. Aside from my callings, I was able to visit teach two sisters from my ward; making weekly inspirational goodies to leave in their apartment as well as check up on them once in a while and help in any way possible. It really was a great way to meet and create lasting friendships.
