Hi I'm Jacob

I'm a runner, I'm about to leave on a mission for the church to Panama, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Southern California but never surfed or really liked the beach. Then in 7th my family moved to Colorado where winter was a bit of a shock to me as I didn't own any pants at the time. I ran cross country and track in high school and played a bit of tennis as well. After graduating high school I ran a marathon with my friend and hopefully I can run a couple more later on. After my mission I will be attending Brigham Young University where hopefully I can work out what path I want to take for my future.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it gives my life meaning and direction. By following the Savior and his teachings I am able to live my life in a way that will help me avoid harm and find more peace. I know that sometimes God gives us a commandment that is sometimes hard or doesn't make sense at first but I just have to trust that God is a God of infinite wisdom and sometimes I just have to trust that he knows things that we as humans have no idea about but that he does everything for our benefit.

How I live my faith

Currently I live my faith by trying to read my scriptures everyday and by trying to be a friend to everyone. I do my best to listen to others when they need to talk about things on their mind and I look for ways that I can go out of my comfort zone to serve others whether that be holding the door open for others, helping people push broken down cars on the side of the road, or being more friendly. I know God doesn't place us in certain situations for no reason, I just hope I can fulfill the reason he placed me there.
