Hi I'm Aaron

I was born and raised in Utah. I love the Theatre. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm 19 and preparing to serve a mission in the Pennsylvania Philadelphia Spanish Speaking Mission. After I get home, I will be going to BYU to get a degree in MDT (Music Dance Theatre). I love acting and dancing. Some other interests I hold include reading (mystery and suspense are my favorite genres) and video games. I also love to write stories. I love basically anything that has to do with the arts and creativity.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in this church, and, having examined other churches and beliefs, found for myself that this church is the only correct church, the only one with God's proper authority. This is why I am a Mormon. Because I believe and know that this church is the only one on Earth with God's authority and power. I firmly believe that Joseph Smith talked to God and visited with angels to help restore the true and everlasting Gospel to the Earth and I believe that the proper authority still rests today in the church with Thomas S. Monson being a true prophet of God.

How I live my faith

Before I was ordained an Elder, I held a calling as first assistant to the Bishop for the Young Men in the ward. I also helped organize Young Men's activities. I also attend Stake Youth Mission (a Mission prep class open to all youth in the area).

Are there restrictions based on race or color concerning who can join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and have the priesthood?

Aaron
None whatsoever! Anyone can join this church and receive the Gospel. God's love is for everyone. As Jeffrey R. Holland has said, "'All God's critters got a place in the choir'...There is room for those who speak different languages, celebrate diverse cultures...There is room for the single, for the married, for large families, and for the childless. There is room for those who once had questions regarding their faith...There is room for those with differing sexual attractions...there is a place for everyone who loves God and honors His commandments." As for the priesthood, the church has said that "every faithful worthy man in the Church may receive the holy priesthood." In order to receive the priesthood, a man has to live faithfully in all of God's commandments and Christ's teachings. Additionally, "all worthy male members of the Church may be ordained to the priesthood without regard for race or color." With the priesthood comes specific and sacred callings for the men of the church. Women may not receive the priesthood, but that doesn't make them any less because of it. They are still full members of the church, and may still go to the Temple if they are found worthy of a recommend, and hold sacred responsibilities in the Church. There is no restrictions on who can join the Church. Christ's love extends to everyone, if they are willing to accept it. Show more Show less
