Hi I'm Emma

I have traveled the world, I’m a military brat, and I’m a Mormon.

About Me

I love the gospel. I love cats but I wish they would stay kittens. I am going on a mission to the Philippines and then going to BYU Hawaii. I love the outdoors as long as it is cold. I enjoy acting and taking care of others. I love my family and would do anything for them as long as they don’t tell my to jump of a bridge. I grew up traveling all over the USA and more recently around Europe and Asia. I love to travel and I love seeing all of God’s creations. I have a wonderful loving family. I’m not a mom yet but hope to be one day. This is the true church!!! I just love it. I love talking to people and reading and watching tv are my favorite pass times. Though if I had a horse riding that would be my favorite thing to do. Well that’s me in a nut shell!!!

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? That is a good question. I was raised in the church and got baptized once I turned 8 years old. I have had a strong testimony since I was young. I don’t recall the specific day or time for me it was not a lightning bolt confirmation or a sudden realization. My testimony started as a little seed. I grew up singing 'Faith is like a little seed if planted it will grow', so I planted my seed of faith. I relied on my parents testimony like most children when they are raised in the church. I leaned on their faith until I was able to slowly form my own. There was a time in my life where I diverted off the path and was full of self doubt because my everyday scripture reading and prayer had fallen to an all time low. It was only once I recommitted to those everyday little things. Being aware of the music I listen to, choosing wisely what to read, reading my scriptures daily and prayer were what helped me reconnect with the gospel. Without the constant nourishment of the gospel your testimony will wither and slowly die. It is only by doing the small and simple things daily that keeps me from divination. I have made a goal to never miss a day in my scripture reading so that I will constantly have my testimony nourished and strengthened. I love this gospel and what it brings me. It gives me knowledge that once I die I will be with my family for eternity. I am a Mormon because no other church could be the Lords church. This is His church and I want to be where He is.

How I live my faith

How I live my faith is with a fullness of heart ❤️. Everyday I study the scriptures and preach my gospel in preparation for my mission where I am excited to bring others into Christ. I teach the 6 year old children every week. They are a bundle of joy and I love it when they will take a second to pause their running around and climbing on chairs and tell me how much they love Christ and how much they know of him. I love being able to teach them how to grow closer to Christ, thought most times they end up teaching me more then I teach them. I love this calling as it is preparing me to serve my mission. For the past two weeks me and some friends received the opportunity to teach early morning seminary. It was such a blessing for us to be able to come together and find ways that we could teach them and keep them entertained so they would not fall asleep. Some days were more difficult than others but when I was able to drag myself out of bed and go to teach these wonderful youth I was able to receive many blessings. I love this gospel and drive to live it every day. Some days are harder then others and at the end of each day I find myself on my knees praying for guidance in this life. I love our savior and I know that he loves me.
