Hi I'm McKenna Murdock 문선녀

Hi I'm McKenna! I'm a photographer, adventure seeker, and lover of life! And I'm a mormon!

About Me

I am a photographer of all things beautiful. I am an adventurer. I am a road-tripper and love to travel. I am an enthusiast of Korean pop music. I am a dancer. I am an actor. I'm a supporter of all things chocolate (except chocolate bacon, bleh.) I am a future missionary of the Washington, Everett mission. I am a Mormon and I couldn't be happier!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon. Some may say it’s because I grew up in an LDS culture with LDS families surrounding me. While part of that may have helped me on this path, it is not the only reason I am still dedicated to the Mormon church today. I have learned that faith and testimony comes because of ACTION. As I have lived the teachings of the prophets and scriptures, as I have obeyed the word of wisdom and standards of the church, and as I have prayed in humility while seeking for answers, I have come to have my own testimony of this gospel. The tender mercies and miracles in my life have confirmed to me that this church is true. I know that God has a plan for me and that sometimes He may answer prayers in unexpected ways because His plan is always better! I know that through trust and faith in Jesus Christ, He can help carry our burdens because He has already suffered all of our earthly trials while in Gethsemane. I know Christ’s atonement is one of the greatest gifts on earth and that through it; we can become clean again and be forgiven. I know that failure never defines me and others and that we can be helped and guided through any trial. I know that the pioneers and Joseph Smith would have NEVER gone through so much turmoil and ¬¬¬¬prosecution and stood up for their beliefs if they didn’t know the church was true. God still speaks today through prophets and through revelation directly to us! I know that nothing on earth could make me as happy as I am with the gospel in my life. Everyday I feel so lucky to belong to the true church of Jesus Christ!

How I live my faith

Growing up in a tightly knit LDS family, I have learned the importance of temples and eternal families, ordinances, and blessings. By attending the temple with humility, I have been able to learn more about our Heavenly Father and his plan for us. I have learned throughout my life that through prayer, I am never alone and can always have the companionship of the Holy Ghost if I am worthy. In every situation, I always try to aspire to be kind to others, be positive, count my blessings, and see the potential in others. I also try to have perspective in every situation I encounter so I can understand others more fully. I strive to be consistent with reading the Book of Mormon because I know it brings peace and my spirit can be renewed. By living true to my standards and morals, I have become a happier person. As I listen to clean music, watch clean movies, and maintain virtue in my life, my emotions have become happier because the spirit is able to abide with me! Through my career and love for photography, I have been able to witness the beauty of God’s creations. I love to inspire others to appreciate all of these blessings as well!
