Why I am a Mormon

My life was like a wind just to and fro when I was not a member yet. I was born in an uproarious family. My parents had a fight almost every day, not just a simple fight because they used harmful objects. I was experiencing anxiety and other minor sickness when I was a little kid up until in my college years. It was never easy; it was a misery, there was no peace at all.I couldn't imagine why my life goes that way.It was a topsy-turvy like an unsolved puzzle.I was an active member and a youth president in my previous denomination. I always attend church activity.Though, I was active, I had so many questions that keep on lurking in my mind that none of them had an answers.I had so many dreams that I was pondering each day.I could see new places, new people and events.I was surprised because it was real and not just a dream. I suddenly told my classmates that my mission in life is to preach the gospel and be of one faith. One day, missionaries came across our house and preached the strange doctrine. I did not believe them at first, I escaped in our appointment until they dropped me off.Years later, while I was reading the Book of Mormon, I had felt strange feeling in my body, I had witnessed that my sickness was sewn little by little by a strange force. I had seen the light all over my body and felt peace, joy and happiness that couldn't be paid off by any means and even be blown by the wind of time. It was a real testimony that pushed me through.I had a testimony of the Book of Mormon and of the Godhead even if I was not a member yet. My sickness and anxiety was healed by the unknown hands, to my surprised I had classmate which is a member and I told him to please set an appointment with me and missionaries again. Days before my baptism, persecution of my parents was so dishearten. My father said, "You are free to go after your baptism", but it wasn't a hurdle for me, Alma 15:16 inspired me to continue . My baptism was amazing; it was like the other side of heaven.

How I live my faith

Being a member is not easy but it is fulfilling and rewarding especially when you obey the commandments and magnifying church calling. I always find ways to apply the gospel with my friends, acquaintances, and relatives if opportunity knocks. I work with the missionaries in our branch, attend training, activities and church meetings, especially the sacrament and classes during Sundays. I extend my service with others by helping them in CSP . I read and pray daily to thank God , asking guidance and protection. Going to the temple is the most important thing that manifest our faith to Him. I share my testimony when a non member ask me why I decided to change my religion. During tough times I won't loose what I learned from the gospel, teaching of the prophets and the Lord's counsel. I always attend conferences to hear new revelations. I do the house household chores to set a good example to the family members. I always share goodness and smile to others. I also pray when a sudden temptation comes. I try my very best not to pass judgement and criticism to those people who behave inaccurately. I encourage the young ones to live righteously , happily in cloudy times and study hardly for their future. I practice and learn the divine attributes of Christ and always remember His atonement.I obey the law of chastity, tithing, word of wisdom and other laws pertaining to the kingdom of God.
