Hi I'm Elijah

I'm from Queensland Australia, I'm a member of a loving family of 10, a special education Teacher, an artist and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have grown up in Tropical North Queensland, Australia all my life. I have a twin brother and together we are the second and third oldest of 8 children, family of 10. I enjoy drawing, painting, singing, cars, animals and playing sports. I played lead character 'Lefou' in our High School production of 'Beauty and the Beast'. I had many roles in school leadership, such as Student Council, Student Captain, Peer Mentor and Executive School Captain, throughout my schooling years. I am currently a Teacher at a Special Education School were I have been at for more than 2years. I teach kids with mental, physical, emotional and exspecially behavioural disabilities their ABC's and 123's. It is a demanding job but it is so worth it. I have grown up and raised as a Mormon and I know after gaining my own witness in my teens that it was true. I now prepare for a 2 year Mission to the Italy Milan Mission were I will teach and serve all people. I hope to return and study at University either, Education, Architecture or Arts and Design.

Why I am a Mormon

Both my parents are convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. And hence I grew up in the Church to follow my parents example. When I was in my early teens, I questioned myself about my beliefs. I questioned if the Church was true, if Joseph Smith was a prophet of God, if the Book of Mormon was true and also if what my parents have taught me was true also. I took heed to the promise found in Moroni 10:4-5 and prayed and asked God about my questions. I felt the Spirit came into my heart and gave me peaceful feeling that I never felt before and the voice telling me that I had already known this and I needed to start believeing in myself. Because of that I know the Church is True and Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. I am grateful to learn fully of God's commandments and his love for each one of us indervidually. Exspecially in a time were the world is so negative and devided, I have held onto the truth and positivity this gospel brings to all that believe on His name. I am grateful for my older brother Jesus Christ's example and atoneing sacrifice for me to receive my full potential as I strive to return to our Heavenly Fathers presence. I know it is true with all my heart.

How I live my faith

I live my Faith, by the example I set were ever I may be regardless if it is work, public or church environments. To keep common curtesy, manners and respect still alive. To love everyone in their own unique way just as Jesus Christ did. I read the scriptures and pray everyday personally and with my family. I actively look for opportunities to help give service and participate in fun wholesome activities that unite each other and invite the Spirit.
