Hi I'm Ysa

I'm a college student, artist, and a friend. I grew up in Utah, and I love life and I love this gospel! I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and chose to be baptized when I was eight years old. Today, I am still living and loving this gospel! I am a college student. I love being able to open up my mind and become more educated, although it can be stressful at times. I love making new friends and opening up to new, uplifting experiences. I am also an artist! I love to craft and create things for my family and friends. I love to embroider, knit, and quilt, and I am always looking to make a new project. I'm also a huge Harry Potter fan and I am a very big book nerd. I love my family. They are a big part of what makes me who I am. I love to serve them, learn with them, and be with them. I love taking drives through the mountains with them, and our family dinners. This gospel brings us together in beautiful ways. We are not perfect people, but we still find ways to love each other through thick and thin.

Why I am a Mormon

This church brings me a true and lasting happiness that cannot be found anywhere else. I remember feeling lost and empty, and sometimes very, very sad. There were moments in my life that brought me to my knees- and I'm so grateful that they did. I found comfort and light in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints that I had been missing. I found purpose, and felt a sense of completeness that can't be filled with things of this world. I love this gospel, and I love my Heavenly Father. I know that he loves us individually, and that Jesus Christ died for my sins. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet and restored this gospel back on the Earth. I know we have a living prophet today with the keys of the priesthood. I know the Book of Mormon is a true and sacred book of scriptures. Conversion is a life long process. It's not easy, it takes continual practice and study, and a lot of faith and patience, but I can't wait to see where my conversion takes me in my life.

How I live my faith

I strive to be a better follower of Christ every day through continually studying and learning the gospel through the scriptures and through personal prayer to my Heavenly Father. When I pray daily I feel a closeness with my Heavenly Father. I strive to serve others and share the love that Heavenly Father has for all his children. Currently I am a youth leader in my ward! I love to encourage the young women of my ward and help them realize their true potential as daughters of God. We organize service activities, camp outs, and other fun things that help us grow closer together and closer to our Heavenly Father. On Sundays we gather together with prepared lessons and teach each other. I learn from them more than I think they will ever learn from me!
