Hi I'm Mikayla Campbell

I'm Canadian. I love to laugh, I love adventure and I love to learn. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've lived in Nova Scotia, Canada my whole life. Despite living in Canada I am still always cold! I love admiring all of God's creations and finding the good in everything. I love animals and I will almost always be found with a dog. I love spending time outside, exploring new places and making anything an adventure. I am the middle child with an older sister and a younger brother. I love spending time with my family, they are my best friends. I have been called to serve as a missionary in the Utah Provo Mission. I love to serve and I am so excited to be able to dedicate my life to Heavenly Father for the next 18 months! I love learning, especially about biology and how the human body works. I am excited to continue my education when I come home and start a family!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have felt the Holy Spirit testify to me that it is the restored gospel of Jesus Christ on the earth today. As I read and study the Book of Mormon, I am filled with so much peace, joy and faith that it overshadows any fear and uncertainty in my life. Like most people I often struggle with feeling like I’m not good enough but I find strength in knowing that through the savior’s atonement I can be forgiven of my sins, find strength in times of sorrow and turn my greatest weaknesses into my greatest strengths. I am a Mormon because I know that the Savior suffered for all of my sins and has felt all of my pain and sorrow. He knows me personally and is asking me to turn to Him so that He can help lift my burdens. I am a Mormon because when I was baptized, I was given the constant companionship of the Holy Ghost who testifies of God the Father and Jesus Christ, who comforts and directs me everyday. I am a Mormon because of the plan of salvation which teaches that families can be together forever! I am a Mormon because I have read the Book of Mormon, have prayed about it and have received a witness of it’s truthfulness. Every time that I read, I am filled with so much peace and comfort. We live in a world so full of confusion and uncertainty, yet as I read the Book of Mormon I am filled with faith I need to look forward to the future without fear. I am a Mormon because of the love that God blesses me with every single day. I know that he listens and answers our prayers! This fills me with so much joy, to know that I can turn to God and He will answer me! I know that He has a plan for me and that He loves me so much that He sent His son to die for me, making it possible for me to repent and live with Him again. I know that He watches over me, that He’s mindful of me, that he cries when I cry and He rejoices when I laugh. I am a Mormon because I cannot imagine life without the happiness that this gospel brings.

How I live my faith

I have been blessed with so many opportunities to serve both in and outside of the church. My parents taught me at a very young age the joy that is available through selfless service. They teach and inspire me everyday to think more about others than I do myself. I am currently serving as a Primary teacher in our ward. It is such a joy to be able to teach them the small and simple truths of the gospel and to watch their testimonies grow. In a couple of months I will get the opportunity to represent Jesus Christ everyday as a missionary. I will devote all of my time, talents and strength to serving the people in my area.
