Hi I'm Coleman Weaver

I grew up in Los Angeles, CA. I love soccer, my family, and I am a Mormon!

About Me

Hello, My name is Coleman Weaver, I am 19 years old and have lived in Los Angeles for the past 14 years. Growing up I lived in 5 states before the age of 6, Utah, Washington, Alabama, Oklahoma, and California. Since I have lived in Southern California the longest I can gladly say it is home to me. Much of what California represents is what is also part of me. I love to go to the beach and surf or just can get in the water. I love food especially Mexican inspired dishes, like authentic tacos, and sopes. Lastly one of the most played sports in California is my biggest passion and love, which is Soccer. I have played soccer since I was 8 and have been part of club teams of all ages. I hope to play all my life and continue to be better every day. This is a short summary of me.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up in a Mormon home, I have always had the Gospel in my home and throughout my entire life. When I was young I went through the motions of taking the sacrament, saying my prayers, and reading the scriptures. Now that I am older it is a choice that I have made individually to be a Mormon. The main reason I choose to be Mormon is because it brings me complete happiness and a sense of identity it is who I am and I am so proud of it.

How I live my faith

Being that I have grown up in Los Angeles, there are lots of people who choose to do many things that I as a Mormon do not participate in. Many times in my high school career I was asked to drink at a party, do drugs at a friend’s house, or listen to continuous amounts of cursing. From a very young age, I knew this was not the way I wanted to live my life. I wanted to follow the Gospel and have eternal happiness, rather than a short term of excitement. I believe what has kept me going all my life is attending church every Sunday. I know that when I go to church, that the rest of my week will be much better than if I hadn’t of gone. I continue to live my faith because I want an eternal happiness and my own family to believe what I know to bring true happiness.
