Hi I'm Anne

I'm from Salt Lake City, Utah. I am a BYU student and have been a youth camp counselor. I love books and family. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of six kids. I grew up in Utah and love hiking in the nearby mountains, dancing, gardening, sewing, and baking. I also love literature, history, and learning and studying new things. I've spent the last few years attending college in Provo, where I've been pursuing an English degree.

Why I am a Mormon

For me, the Gospel of Jesus Christ is a Gospel of joy. The things I have learned and the things I do have brought me so much joy. As a member of the Church, I have come to know about God's love for me as one of his children, my divine identity, and God's plan for my life. I know that God has provided a Plan of Happiness that allows me to be with my family for all eternity. I know that God continues to communicate with me through the Holy Ghost to give me the guidance, direction, knowledge, comfort, and peace that I need. I've learned through my own life experiences that obedience to God's commandments allows God to bless me more than I realize and that, with God's help, I can become a better version of myself than I could ever hope to achieve on my own. With God's help, I am smarter, kinder, more loving, more focused... Through Him, I am more myself and I know that what I am doing is right and for the best.

How I live my faith

My faith is based on coming closer to Jesus Christ and helping others to do the same. Last year, I was called to serve as a Sunday School teacher. I enjoyed taking time every week to study a specific aspect of the Gospel and then then leading a discussion with my class members and learning together from their responses. I've spent the last three summers working for a summer camp for teenagers dedicated to strengthening youth in their commitment to live the gospel of Jesus Christ. I've loved working with them, having fun with them, and teaching them, but most of all, I've loved seeing them change as they learn about Christ and make goals. Now, I'm looking forward to serving as a full-time missionary for the Church for a year and a half in San Diego, California. I'm excited to serve, teach, and get to know the people I will interact with and to help them come closer to Christ as I come closer myself.
