Hi I'm Eric

I enjoy science, music, bad jokes, and especially being called to serve the Lord in the Texas McAllen Mission speaking Spanish!

About Me

I was born in San Jose, California as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, but have lived in Washington for most of my life. I grew up with a passion for music, science, and engineering. I play percussion, soccer, and ultimate frisbee, and like to go backpacking/hiking when possible. I graduated from high school and have been accepted to BYU where I will start following my mission.

Why I am a Mormon

The Plan of Salvation is the basis of my faith. Because of it, I know who I was before this life, what I need to do now, and what I can expect when I leave. I know that my Heavenly Father has a plan for me in this life that will help me grow and develop as His child, because He loves me. He will never give me challenges I cannot overcome with His support, and as long as I follow His commandments my trials will be for my gain. He loves me as His child, and I can always put my trust in Him. He has prepared a way for me to return to Him, and it is up to me to take it.

How I live my faith

As a christian, I am commanded to love my neighbor. The best way I have found to do that is through service. I serve in my family as a brother and son, helping around the house and through support as my family experiences trials. I have also had the opportunity to fulfill many leadership positions in my church youth group. In these positions, I've organized activities for the edification of my peers and for providing service for others in our community. I've loved to see my friends be supported by us and to see the Light of Christ that we have spread.
