Hi I'm Ally

I'm a Coloradan, an athlete, a friend, and a Mormon

About Me

I find joy in my family, in sports, and in the Gospel. I have 2 wonderful siblings and am blessed with a great Mother, Father, and Step Mother. Being a member of a mixed family has definitely proved challenging but rewarding. I have a second family of friends, many stemming from my volleyball team. I played competitive volleyball for 8 years. Both the sport and the team family have proved to be great blessings in my life. The Gospel of Jesus Christ has also brought me so much joy as I have attended the temple and read the Book of Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have read the Book of Mormon and sincerely prayed to know that it is true. Each time I ask God in prayer if the Book of Mormon is true, I feel a confirming and peaceful feeling from the spirit. I truly know that God exists and that He loves all of His children. Because of several experiences, I know that God is aware of me and my concerns, and has a plan for me. I have experienced the power of Christ's Atonement in my life as I have received true peace during trying times. As a result of these experiences, I know that Christ is my Savior and I have a continual desire to follow His example and be a member of the church He established on this Earth.

How I live my faith

I live my faith as I not only take time each day to learn from the scriptures or from our modern day prophet and leaders, but also as I teach a Gospel Principles class each Sunday. I also live my faith by doing as Christ would and showing kindness to all I come in contact with each day.

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

We believe that God is our Heavenly Father who knows and loves each of His children perfectly. We were created in His image and we once lived with Him. He has provided a Plan of Happiness for us so that we might have joy in this life and in the life to come. God is perfect, merciful, just and loving, so much so that He sacrificed His Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, so that we can be cleansed of sin and live with Him again. Show more Show less
