Hi I'm Annie

I'm a musician, engineering student, avid reader and a Mormon!

About Me

I'm a sophomore in college working towards a civil engineering degree. Education has always been really important to me, so I'm so excited to be moving forward and learning more every day. I also love playing the trumpet and the piano and I love being with my family. I'm the oldest of six kids, so I've learned a lot about the importance of family, even when they're loud and crazy! :) My siblings are some of my best friends and I know that our families are one of the most important parts of life here on earth.

Why I am a Mormon

My family have been members of the church for generations, so I grew up knowing the gospel and having lots of family who were Mormons. Even though the gospel has always been a part of my life I have still needed to become converted and gain a testimony of my own. As a child I loved hearing the stories of Jesus and the prophets and singing songs about Christ, these brought me joy. This joy was unlike any I found in school or in the world, it was an inner beautiful joy. I felt this joy again when I read the Book of Mormon for the first time when I was twelve. I prayed to know if this book was true and the most beautiful feeling of joy and absolute love came to me. I know this was directly from my Heavenly Father. Since then I have never had a doubt that my Heavenly Father loves me, even when it has been hard to love myself or believe that anyone in the world loves me, I can depend on my Heavenly Father to comfort me. This gospel means everything to me, it brings me peace in this crazy world and joy in sorrow. Most importantly, through the restored priesthood I know that I can live with my family for all eternity and if there was ever a true definition of heaven it's eternal family.

How I live my faith

Right now I'm preparing to serve a full-time mission in Ohio. I feel like I've been working towards this my whole life, learning about Christ and His gospel since I was very young and then learning how to teach others in my family and in my youth group. All of the things that I have learned throughout my youth have made me into a better person and give me peace and joy and I can't wait to share this amazing message with the people of Ohio!
