Hi I'm Hailey

I am a California girl born and raised. I am very tall. I love sports and the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to play volleyball and basketball. I am an older sister and I love it. I am a total outdoors girl, hiking, cliff jumping and going out to hammock is the best to me. I did a year of college and I am headed out on my mission to João Pessoa Brazil starting in September 2017.

Why I am a Mormon

I know The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only true, restored and everlasting gospel on this earth. I know the Book of Mormon is true, I have a testimony that is still changing day by day whether it is progressing or declining due to my diligence but I will always have the knowledge that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God, that our Heavenly Father is a loving merciful father in heaven who wants the best for all of us, his children which is accepting and living this gospel that was atoned for by our older brother Christ. I am Mormon because in a world full of confusion and hatred I know the truth wholeheartedly, I know who I am and what my purpose is on this earth and I can not wait to go out and spread that with the wonderful people of Brazil.

How I live my faith

I was called to be a secretary during my college year in the young singles adult ward. That was a calling that taught me a lot about relying on others during the times I don't want to or need to yet understanding when the right time is to be independent in the things that I want to accomplish. Right now I visit teach and I go out with the missionaries in my ward to teach lessons before I head out on my mission.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

When you receive a spiritual witness about your faith combined with the knowledge that we have about this gospel then we slowly start to build a testimony. A testimony is our own personal knowledge and faith in the things we think or believe are true and are then confirmed by the spirit to us that they are. We then testify of it to others, to our Heavenly Father and to ourselves. We all start somewhere with our testimony but as we continue to learn what is right and practice what we learn then we slowly start to build up our testimonies. Show more Show less
