Hi I'm Madeline

I grew up in several cities in the Western United States of America. I went to an international school in Hawaii. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born into an awesome family and I have 3 other siblings. We moved around a lot as a family (Tuscon to Los Angeles to Boise etc) so I grew up in many different cultures and met lots of people from other countries. In high school some of my best friends were from all over the world. Fiji, Mexico, Spain, Germany, Sweden, Bolivia were some of the counties my friends were from. Not only were they of different cultures but also religions. Some were atheists, Hindus, Roman Catholic, Christian. I grew to love diversity and so I applied and went to an international school and met tons more kids from all over. I decided to study cultural anthropology and love it! Soon I'll be living in Russia as a volunteer for my church. I also play water polo and ultimate frisbee. I love to zentagle (fancy word for doodle) and love books.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love God. I love Jesus Christ. I want to follow them. The best part about following God is that he blesses us for that and I am seriously so blessed! I have felt happiness and joy and peace through this gospel (would highly recommend giving it a chance!) and I know that being a Mormon means that I am a "Latter Day Saint" and follower of Jesus Christ. This is the true Church of God. Also, the Book of Mormon (the book, not the musical) is so cool! It just makes sense. It is a true book.

How I live my faith

I was leader of my group of young girls my age growing up. I planned and helped carry out fun activities and service oppourtunitoes for the kids my age. I would sometimes teach lessons (maybe not very well...) but I loved it and learned so much!

In whom should we have faith?

Madeline
We should have faith in Jesus Christ and in our Heavenly Father. Faith is a lot harder than it may seem! But when you have strong faith, God will bless you and you WILL know that Jesus Christ is the Savior! Some Mormons may seem like they "KNOW Jesus Christ is our Savior, KNOW the Book of Mormon is true, KNOW that Joseph Smith was a true prophet" etc. But I can assure you there are plenty of us who have learned that Faith is so strong! And when you have faith first, it can become knowledge. It's amazing to gain knowledge straight from God and it can happen. God loves you and if you have faith he will show you his love 10 times over Show more Show less
