Hi I'm Joan

I am from Maryland. I am a college student. I play the violin. I love hiking. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a college student that loves to be outdoors. Hiking is one of my favorite things. I am working towards a degree in Wildlife/Wildlands Conservation. I love exploring museums and seeing what I can learn from the people that came before us.

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because within this church is where I have felt Christ's love the strongest. We have modern-day prophets that speak to us for our time and day. The Book of Mormon is a testament of Jesus Christ in the Americas, which shows that God loves us all not just the people in Israel during the lifetime of Jesus. I know that this church is true. I know that God created this beautiful earth for us to learn from and enjoy, but it should not be taken for granted. I know that anybody can pray to Heavenly Father and He will listen. I know that the knowledge of the truths of this gospel have strengthened me and gotten me through some very difficult times, and they can strengthen you too.

How I live my faith

I try and live my faith in simple actions. Small things like doing my best to treat others kindly, and trying to look for the positive. Out at school I helped organize meetings to help students learn from each other and have a support system while many of us were far from home.
