Hi I'm Seth Kaelin

I was born into the church. I grew up playing baseball and football and any sport I could find time for. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just graduated from High School. I lettered as an athlete in both football and baseball as a freshman. I have grown up playing sports and sports have changed my life in such an amazing way. Through sports, I was allowed friends and people I could spend time with and get closer to. Many times I have been faced with challenges such as things I am pressured into doing or places to go or people I interact with or time management decisions. Sports have helped me through all of that and because of sports, I have constantly had something to rely on in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

Because I have grown up playing sports, I have seen so many different people and personalities. Many of which I like and strive every day to be like and some I try to avoid being like. Most importantly, I have learned that no matter how old I was or what circumstances I was in, I always seemed to be just a little bit happier than all the other kids. This troubled me for a very long time and I had originally thought it was just my personality, but as I got older I realized that the thing in my life that was making the most happy was the gospel of Jesus Christ. No matter who I was talking to, or who I was playing with, they always saw it too. Many times I have been asked why somethings don't bother me or how I can do the things I do, I always answer them by saying, "It's because of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the type of person the church requires of me to be." I love the gospel so much and the joy it brings me is unbelievable. I can't express how much the church changes and effects my life in every decision I make and every question I have. I love it so much

How I live my faith

I have a little brother and the past two years we traveled down to Nicaragua for humanitarian trip. It was extremely hard because we were required to raise the money ourselves and that allowed us to think about others and the good we would be doing throughout the whole year as we worked and tried to raise money for the trips. It was so powerful to see people in a country that didn't have the same resources as I have had all my life. It very much impacted my life to receive a relationship and a personal acquaintance with those around me. The love and care they gave to us, people who already have more then them, really showed me how much more I can do for others. I have tried to live my life with that mind set, a mind set of service and of giving to others. I truly love service and the joy it brings me.
