Hi I'm Mariah

I'm from Kansas City, Missouri. I love the gospel and I am proud to be Mormon.

About Me

I am one of two children, the other being twelve years younger than me. I love learning and experiencing new things. I am studying chemical engineering at BYU-Provo and I love it! I love solving problems and being able to help others all at once. Serving others and making them smile is one of my favorite things in life.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church and I am beyond grateful for that. As I grew up and became a youth all of the lessons and teachings that I had been taught as a child began to really impact my life in an amazing way. They helped me through many tough times. I don't stay in the church because I grew up in it, I stay in the church because I feel in my heart and in my mind that there is nowhere else that I can feel this way. The church is my safe place where I can always find solace and love. I choose to be Mormon everyday and I make that choice with my whole heart.

How I live my faith

I love being able to show others what I believe in through my actions. I try to be kind to everyone I meet and show love and compassion as Christ would. I help plan lessons that I teach to other members of my ward and it brings me great joy because I learn as much or more as I prepare to teach them.

What is being a Mormon like?

Being a Mormon is the greatest feeling on Earth! You have this knowledge and this faith that others can not even comprehend. It is amazing to know that, when you are worthy, you will always have a companion to help guide you through your life. That companion, the Holy Ghost, is like a best friend that knows you and your heart and is always cheering you on. There is no greater joy in this life than being a Mormon. Show more Show less
