Hi I'm marianne

I grew up in North Ogden,Utah but I have lived as an adult in Maryland,California and Colorado. I am a Mormon and love the Gospel!

About Me

I am by nature a very happy and positive person. I love people. I love to serve. I enjoy reading History Books and listening to all types of music. I am a Wife,Mother and Grandmother. They are the joys of my life. I have served in Young Womens many times and Relief Society and Primary. The Gospel is the centerpiece of my Life as it keeps me on the path back to our Heavenly Father and our Brother Jesus Christ!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I had a mighty change of heart at age 50. My youngest Son decided he wanted to go on a Mission. This was a surprise to our Family. My Husband and I were baptized at the age of 8 but we both grew up in non active LDS homes. When our children choose their friends as teenagers they were all good Mormon kids. Our Friends were always mostly Mormon over the years but we we never interested in going to Church or attending activities. When my youngest Son told us he wanted to serve a Mission we we pretty sad at the thought of him being gone for two years, We did however decide to support him in his decision as we always had done. When he left I thought I wouldn't be able to bear him being gone and nice friends and neighbors who were LDS kept telling us that our family would receive blessings from his service. Didn't feel like it to me. So, I thought that if my Son was giving up two years of his life to serve then I needed to know why. I started to read the Book of Mormon and had my mighty change of heart. It changed my life. I knew it was true and felt so badly that I had wasted so much time getting to know my Heavenly Father,my brother Jesus Christ and the spirit of the Holy Ghost. It indeed blessed our lives as we had been promised. Families are forever and we have that undeniable blessing. I am so very thankful to be an active LDS woman. The joys are overwhelming at times. In the hard times, it is what sees me through. It is my rock to hold onto. It is my strength!

How I live my faith

I live my faith one day at a time. Somedays I am more successful in reading my scriptures and saying my prayers than other days but I know God loves me and knows my heart. I have had many different callings in my Church and enjoyed them all. Sometimes when a call was extended I was nervous to accept but then I remember the words of President Hinckley."No calling is too small and the Lord doesn't expect us to run faster than we can run". Life without involvement in my Church would be harder and rather sad without knowing that our Father in Heaven loves us and is always there if we just ask in heartfelt prayer!
