Hi I'm Talia Woffinden

I grew up in Provo Utah. I'm the oldest of four siblings. I'm leaving on a Lds mission to Japan this fall. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 18 years old. I just graduated high school this last Spring. I'm heading out to spread the Gospel in Fukuoka, Japan this fall for 18 months. I'm currently attending a college in Utah and trying to get my associates degree before I leave. I love to hike, camp, play sports, create art, and hang out with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents have always been members, so I was fortunate enough to be raised in the gospel. The teachings we learn as a family help us to be happy and function well together. So many great things have happened to me because of the gospel. It is simple, sweet, and keeps me and others out of harm. I know that it's teachings are true and I'm excited to share that with others. I know that Christ lived on this Earth and paid the ultimate price so that we could return to our Father in Heaven some day. I have felt His love for me and know that He watches out for me and everyone else too. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet. He was chosen to lead out this gospel in the current dispensation. He could not of restored this church on his own. He needed the help of a higher power. I know that we have living prophets today who receive revelation and in turn share it with us. I know that the bible and the Book of Mormon are testaments of Christ. They are answers to prayers and tell of how Christ has changed people's lives. God listens to us. He listens to our prayers and will answer them. Maybe not in the time and way we would like, but definitely how they are needed. I love the gospel. I love my family and am grateful for the knowledge I have that I will live with them forever. I am eternally grateful for the gospel and all it's teachings. It has impacted my life for the better. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

On Sundays I have a calling in the Nursery. This means I get to watch all the two year olds while their parents go to class. We play, teach them lessons, and sing songs about the gospel. I'm also trying really hard to prepare myself to go on a mission. I read the scriptures and pray a lot so that I can become familiar with the gospel's teachings.
