Hi I'm Whitney

I'm 19 years old. I've lived in Utah my whole life. I love trying new things. I'm a soon-to-be-missionary. And I'm a mormon.

About Me

This is gonna sound like an elementary school intro: I like superheroes, volleyball (and most other sports), movies, good food, outdoors, board games... basically everything! I love learning about/trying things I haven't done before. I am going on a mission in Independence Missouri, Spanish speaking, and I couldn't be more excited! After I graduated I decided to move out and work full time to save up for my mission. I love the gospel and can't wait to share it with the world! My name is Whitney and I'm a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church. I went to primary, I was baptized when I was 8 years old, I did everything I was supposed to. I was taught from a young age about Jesus Christ, the scriptures, how I should act, and how I should treat others. But even though I was raised in the church, I still don't know everything about the gospel yet. I do, however, have a testimony of Jesus Christ. I know that He is our Savior and Redeemer. I know that He lives and loves us. If He didn't, He wouldn't have sacrificed everything for us. I have a testimony of the Atonement, I know that it works and that we can be forgiven of our mistakes. I know that The Book of Mormon is the word of God, and that it was translated by the Prophet Joseph Smith through the power of God. I know that it was written specifically for our day. I love this gospel and I testify of these things in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

I am a part of the Young Single Adult (YSA) ward. I attend church every Sunday and go to weekly activities hosted by the other members- this has allowed me to make friends with those who are closer to my age and have similar interests as I do. There are numerous opportunities for service that I enjoy being a part of. Not only are there fun activities and events, but there is also support from my friends who care about me and are experiencing the same type of hardships that I am at this stage of my life. It just gives me a sense of comfort and connection.
