About Me

I am Oregon born and raised! i love the outdoors and exploring the beautiful outdoors. when not camping or hiking i love all water sports specifically wake-boarding and snowboarding/skiing during the winter. I come from a large family and am the last of 9. me and my twin brother love being with friends and family surrounded by amazing food. i enjoy working out and running and relaxing and reading a good book weather fiction or bibliographies of great lives.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ because it has been by living its teachings that life has been the most joyful. i am shown mine and your own divine worth. we are special and we are eternal. the eternal perspective and powerful plan for our lives gives comfort to us in this life no matter the trials we face and joy in the life to come. i have felt feelings that cannot be described other than the comfort and joy of the holy ghost. i felt it with my soul. only hearing this gospel has stirred such feelings in my heart. i know them and i know God knows them and so i cannot deny his power and love that made his church. you realize your divine destiny and potential from this church. you matter

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an active member of my home ward. i was extremely lucky to have an big group of young men. we enjoyed sharing leadership positions throughout all of our quorums. i home teach with my father and enjoy his counsel. i live my faith by living after the manner of happiness. i work hard and play harder with family and my close friends.

Can you tell me about Mormon customs: how you dress for church, what holidays you celebrate, etc.?

Abe Nelson
Members attending Sunday services will most likely be wearing their “Sunday best,” which may include suits, sport coats, and ties for the men and modest dresses or skirts for the women. Children also typically dress up for Sunday. Members of the Church celebrate Christmas and Easter, regarding these two events as the most spiritually significant days in history because of the birth, suffering, death, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Church members also celebrate the regional and national holidays of the countries where they live. Church members also celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, and similar events. Show more Show less
