Hi I'm Samantha

I am from California, and am currently serving as a full-time missionary in Oklahoma.

About Me

I was born in the Bay Area, and have lived in both California and Utah. My hobbies include reading and playing the piano. I have completed 1 year of college, with a major in Geology, and am taking time off from college to serve a full-time mission in Oklahoma.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I grew up in the church, I feel that I really became a devoted member as I developed my own testimony through personal study and pondering. I have a strong testimony that this church is true, and that the gospel has blessed my life in many ways. Now, as a missionary, my testimony has grown so much in so many ways. I am a Mormon because I know that this is the restored church, and that through following Jesus Christ I can return to live with God.

How I live my faith

As a full-time missionary, I am able to dedicate all my time to serve the Lord and to serve others. I love the Lord, and want to share this love with all the people I meet. Every day I strive to share the light of the gospel and the joy that it brings.

What is Mormonism? OR What do Mormons believe?

The Articles of Faith answer this question. The first Article of Faith says, "We believe in God the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost." This is the foundation of our beliefs; all that we believe goes back to it. We believe that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is Christ's church on the earth today, restored through the Prophet Joseph Smith, and that the Book of Mormon contains the fullness of the everlasting gospel.
