Hi I'm Holly

I am a soon to be Missionary. I am a college student and an adventurer at heart. "I'm a Mormon."

About Me

I am in the same boat as many other people my age, trying to figure out life and having no idea how to be an adult! The one thing about myself that I knew all my life, was how important my education was to me. I always knew that I would go to college, though the path getting there was definitely not easy. With persistence and undoubtedly divine help, I was able to get into my dream school. I love adventure and will not pass a chance to do anything that scares me. Travel is my dream and I hope to one day see the world! I am also the youngest daughter to the most incredible mother who raised me and my older sisters alone and through very hard times. I intend to live life to the fullest and never stop learning.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I was born into this church, I remember when I was a teenager that I wanted to know for myself what was true. I studied many faiths and essentially mentally started from scratch in order to build up what I truly believed. I could not deny after that period that it was true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by deciding to serve a full-time mission for my church. That was not an easy decision for me. I was actually at school in Hawaii and for months I kept feeling prompted by the Lord that I should serve a Mission. It took me a long time to acknowledge that that is what God wanted me to do. As you can imagine, I was not too keen to leave Hawaii. But I finally had to ask myself what was most important to me. My answer was that #1 was God and following his plan for me, #2 was my family and #3 was my education. I knew that because I had received so much by being apart of this church, I had a responsibility to share that knowledge and opportunity for great happiness with the world. After all, if it was not for two humble missionaries who taught my father, I would not exist. A mission may seem like a big sacrifice, but when I am at the judgement bar before Christ and my life is being reviewed, I want it known that I gave all I had and did the best I could for my Lord.
