Hi I'm Jonathan

I'm currently a college student and about to serve a mission in Malaga, Spain.

About Me

In high school I ran for the cross country and track and field teams. I still run whenever I get the chance and am always trying to improve and get better. I love competitive sports; anything from baseball, to ultimate frisbee, to soccer, as long as its good clean fun. I'm currently in college and not sure what direction I want to take but I'm going to go and get my general education in the meantime. I have found that not knowing exactly what direction I want to take has been a big blessing because I have been able to take courses that I wouldn't normally have taken such as music or language classes. These classes have sparked interests in me that will become life long hobbies.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ is something I hold near and dear to my heart. I am a recent convert and was only baptized eight and a half months ago. Since baptism I can honestly say that I have never been more happy in my life. I have continued in my faith and will continue in my faith for the rest of my life because there is no time to stop. My heart and mind is focused on the temple. I want to marry and be sealed in the temple one day, and have children that I can raise with the same desire. After marriage I have children that I have to be an example to, and then come grandchildren. My priorities as a husband and a father will never go away and neither will the covenants that I have made to my Heavenly Father. The only way I can get to this point in my life, and have an eternal family that is sealed in the temple is to be obedient, follow the commandments, learn, grow, and continue to follow the promptings of the Holy Ghost and Jesus Christ's example.

How I live my faith

I love my ward. Everyone there is always so supportive of me and so happy. I am a ward missionary and I will occasionally go out on splits with the missionaries, or I will teach the gospel principles class. My family ward doesn't have very many youth so I attend activities with a YSA ward down the street as often as possible and I attend an institute class twice a week.
