Hi I'm Tyler

I was born and raised in Glendale, Arizona. I play soccer, tennis, and golf. I'm a BYU student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a pretty average, run of the mill mechanical engineering college student. I love to play any and all sports, but have an affinity towards soccer, tennis, golf, and similar activities. I've played the piano for over 10 years but hate playing in front of other people due to my apparent lack of talent when I know other people are listening. I love spending time with my family and am the youngest of four siblings. I'm blessed to be able to go to school with two of them currently and seeing them almost every day is fantastic. I am currently preparing to serve a mission for two years in Africa.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints my entire life. Having grown up in the Church, I've never known anything different and I've never had any life changing event that showed me this was the true church. However, as I've grown and studied the Gospel myself and have participated in the Church I have received witnesses time and time again that this is the true church on the earth today. To receive my confirmation, I had to live the Gospel, read the scriptures, attend church, and pray sincerely and genuinely test whether or not it was all true before I could receive my answer. By reading the Book of Mormon and praying sincerely to know whether or not it was true, I can say with surety that this Gospel is true and this church is the true restored Church of Christ.

How I live my faith

Most recently, I have been a teacher for one of our Sunday School classes. This has allowed me to study Gospel principles deeply in preparation to teach each Sunday and help others learn and understand those principles themselves. Doing so has strengthened my understanding of the Doctrines of Jesus Christ and has allowed me to grow closer to Him. I am grateful for the opportunity to not only help others grow in the Gospel, but also for my opportunity to grow closer to our Savior, Jesus Christ.
