Hi I'm Alina

I am from Ukraine and live in United States. I am LDS, love my family and the gospel.

About Me

I am nineteen years old, I love nature, hiking, art, music and dancing. I love to spend time with my family. I am currently in college. Also I love cats and dogs.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was six years old my mother died and I was separated from two of my youngest brothers. When that happened, I was and felt so lonely, I lost my family and was sent to an orphanage far away from my brothers. I thought I would never see them again. I felt sad and lonely all the time. I lost everybody I knew and loved and life was hard. I spent 8 years in an orphanage alone without my little brothers, life seemed dark and dreary, and I felt so alone and there seemed to be no purpose in life. Then an amazing women came along and adopted me and my brother together. I was so happy. I now had my brothers back and a new mom. However I still missed my biological mom and I thought that I would never see her again, so no matter how happy I was to have a family again, the pain of missing my biological mom hurt me a lot. My mom noticed that and gladly told me that I could be with my mom again someday. She explained our Heavenly Father's plan, that there is life after death, in fact she told me that my biological mother was watching over me and that she would always be with me. I was so glad. I knew I would see my mom again. I learned that life had a purpose after all. I stopped feeling alone, I became to know as I do now that Heavenly father is there, as I prayed I felt peace and His presence, in fact I felt my biological mother's presence and love as well. As I read the Book of Mormon I knew that it was true, I felt the same peace and joy and truthfulness of it, as I did when I heard that I will see my biological mom again. After a lot of study and preyer I knew that the gospel of Jesus Christ that was restored through Joseph Smith the prophet was true. I knew that then and I know that now. There is no greater joy, then the joy that the gospel of Jesus Christ brings into my life, there is no greater love or peace in this world, then the peace and love of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I go to church, where we all learn from each other. Where we partake of the sacrament, help and build up one another and where there is so much joy and peace. Also I live my faith in my home and where ever I go, because I know my Heavenly Father is always with me. I love to study the scriptures and serve others.
