Hi I'm Amanda Macedo Franco

I am brazilian but I grew up in Spain. I am mormon.

About Me

My hobbies are traveling, playing piano, dancing latin and hip hop style and the most of all hiking mountains. I love learning languages, I can speak spanish, portugues, english, french and a little of catalan. I have studied one year of translating and interpretation at the university of Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona. I love to learn about cultures of different countries so that I can understand better the people who lives there.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in a family that is mormon, they were baptized with eight years, and so I am. They have their own testimony and are very converted. They had taught me since I was very little that I had to seek my own testimony and my own espiritual experiencies so that I could know about the gospel by myself and be a member of the church because I chose it. So in my youth I tried hard to always pray to God, read the scriptures, especially the Book of Mormon and to live all the principles and commandments to see if all of it was true. I received the answers that I needed during all my life, those ones about God and Jesus Christ, about the Book of Mormon and Joseph Smith, about the living prophets, and all the rest of principles of the gospel. I know that is true, I know it because it works, everything that is said and taught works in my life and makes me happy and approaches me to God. I know that if I keep doing all that I have learnt and learn everyday and try to do my best, someday I will live with God and with my family for all eternity.

How I live my faith

I like to help everyone who needs it, I am always looking for oppotunities to help, whether in home or in my neighborhood or in the Church. I think that every habit we have starts at home, so I try to do my best at there to improve myself and be a better person out of home too. In the church I don't have any calling right now because I moved to Logroño, the city where I lived before going to college, but sometimes they ask me to play the organ or the piano, to teach in a class or to give an speech in some meeting, and I always do it with an smile and a good heart. I love to share what I believe by my actions and by telling about it to all my friends.
