Hi I'm Rachael

I am from Medford, Oregon. I joined the church when I was eighteen years old. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in California and Oregon with my parents and five siblings. Growing up, my family attended a Presbyterian church. However, during my first year of college I began investigating the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I was baptized at eighteen years old and am the only member of the church in my family. I have recently been called to serve in the Argentina Buenos Aires West mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I started investigating the church when I was eighteen years old. It's hard for me to pinpoint an exact moment when I knew that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was the true church. I think that it was a seed that was already planted within me; it just needed to be found. Once I felt the desire and curiosity I did in my first meeting with the missionaries, I knew I wanted to know more. As I read the Book of Mormon and prayed to my Heavenly Father, I knew that the Gospel was true. I am a Mormon because I know that Heavenly Father loves me and all of his children. I know that one day I will return to live with him again, and that I can live eternally with my family. I am a Mormon because I know that Jesus Christ is our Savior. I know that Christ atoned for all of my sins, and through Him I can one day be clean again. The Gospel of Jesus Christ has completely changed my life.

How I live my faith

I think I live my faith by trying my best to be like Jesus Christ. Although I can never even come close to acting and living exactly like the Savior Jesus Christ, I can still try my best to be more like him. I know that through loving, serving, forgiving, and leading others, I am following in the footsteps of my Savior. I love serving others because it not only helps someone around me, but it also brings me joy and blesses my life.
