Hi I'm Kaitlyn

I grew up a military dependent. I'm a happy person with a strong love of God and my family. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I grew up a military dependent, so I got to move around a lot! I absolutely love traveling and have been all over the world. I love meeting new people and learning about the different cultures everywhere I go. I've been singing for as long as I can remember, and I honestly believe that music is a way that brings people together regardless of their background, ethnicity, race, what language they speak, and so many more things. I love sharing my talent with others and getting to share in their talent too! I wouldn't be who I am today without the influence of my parents and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in my life. I absolutely love this Gospel and wouldn't give it up for anything in the world!!

Why I am a Mormon

I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet, that he was called of God to restore His church to the earth once more. How do I know this? I've spent so much time reading, studying, praying, and pondering it. I learned for myself that The Book of Mormon is true and that the writing contained within it is true and inspired. I know that the gospel was restored upon the earth and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is that church. I love my religion and I wouldn't want to be in any other sect of Christianity. I am a Mormon. I live it, and I love it!!!

How I live my faith

There are so many ways that I live my faith, really. My favourite one, aside from just generally being a good example of Christ to others, is the opportunity I have to teach in church! Most people don't like being surrounded by kids, but me? I LOVE IT! I teach the nine years olds, and honestly, they teach me more about Jesus Christ than I teach them about Him. I love seeing their happy, bright little faces every week. They help to strengthen my faith in God and my love of the gospel. Matthew 18:3 tells us how Jesus said "Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven." Every week I get to relearn this principle as I spend time with 'my' kids. They are truly so pure and Christ-like. They aren't hateful or spiteful. They love each other so unconditionally, I hope one day I can be more like them.

Who is the Mormon prophet today?

Kaitlyn
The current prophet of the LDS (Mormon) Church is Thomas S. Monson. He is the President of The Church and is authorized to direct the entirety of The Church with the counsel of his two counselors--Henry B. Eyring and Dieter F. Uchtdorf. President Monson is the only person that is able to get revelation from God for the entire Church. We support the prophet and all the members of his counsel (including the Twelve Apostles) as the leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Show more Show less
