Hi I'm Benedick Calderon

I am from the Sunshine City of Laoag, Philippines. I recently graduated from business school. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently graduated in Accounting Technology. I love going out for a run, especially in the forest. I participated in competitive swimming in college. I also love reading books. I love Ilocano dishes and smelly food.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I grew up in the Church since I was little. It might have always been the way it's supposed to be, to follow what other members of the Church are doing, however learning and understanding for myself when I was capable, trying to make sense of what is taught to me was the main reason that I've chosen to stay as a member of the Church now that I'm an adult. It was very intimidating at first as I was trying to explain and to clarify misconceptions about how I live as Mormon with my friends as became vocal with my beliefs. I try to explain that some things are not as it seems to be in this world and that we should be careful with the decisions that we act upon. We may only live once on Earth, and we should as well make it right. To choose the right. I know that the Savior loves me and continually has blessed me with His love. I believe and I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true as I can feel peace every time I attend Sunday Services wherever I go and it just feels like home. I also feel His love through reading the scriptures and especially the Book of Mormon, and in order for me to show my love also, to always set a high standard for the choices that I make, to keep His commandments.

How I live my faith

I am a ward missionary and I try to allot time working with the full-time missionaries, and sharing my testimony to other people as much as I can. I also engage myself in genealogical work in the Church like family history work.
