Hi I'm Matheus

I'm a Mormon. I love to learn new languages. Currently living in Brazil

About Me

I love to learn new languages. I speak Portuguese as my mother language, and I speak Japanese and English. I have an enormous interest in learning French and German. Someday in the future I would like to work with I.T, that's an interesting area. I love to read and spend my time with my parents. They always supported me and I owe them so much. Since I was kid they told me to serve a mission, and back when I was kid, I didn't really care about serving a mission, but a few years ago I asked the Lord if I would have to serve a mission, and He answered me ABSOLUTELY right away. I'm going to be serving in Japan Nagoya Mission and I am really excited to change someone's life just like the missionaries did with my parents. I know this is His labor and I'm really excited to be one of his disciples in the time of 2 years

Why I am a Mormon

Because someday I asked the Lord about it and He answered me. Well, I am born in the church, and like the majority of the members of the church that are in my condition, our conversion process is different, because for us, going to the church, doing the prayers and keeping the commandments is something 'normal', because we don't know any other lifestyle, and when we grow up, those things starts to be a problem in out lifes, because we don't have the testimony, we just go the church because of our parents, and it wasn't for me. When I was a teenager I decided to not go to the church anymore for many reasons and I never hide those reasons for my parents and for some reason my mother told me something that I'll never forget, she told me: "Why are you so upset? Let's make a deal: You can leave the church, but you have to pray first, asking if the Gospel is true. If He answer you that is not true, you tell me because I'm leaving as well. Because it's not possible for the Lord to tell you that its not true and for me He answers that it's true. The truth is unique". And that really shocked me, because she was the last person that I would think that would tell me something like this. In that night, I entered in my room and I dreamed about serving a mission and I woke up in the middle of the night. I heard a voice in my head, just like a thought saying: "Ask". At first I thought it was because of my mom and I didn't give attention, but I couldn't sleep because that thinking was coming through my mind. So, in that night I asked God if that was His Gospel and He answered me, in my first sincere prayer. If I could travel in time, I would've said to myself in that time that I was wrong. I know this is His Gospel, and if you ask, He I gonna answer you, just like He did to me

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith in the best way I can, always wondering what if was Jesus doing this? Would he be doing this thing or not? I try to always do my best in my callings. Nowadays I am the branch clerk and I really love my calling. With my calling I learned in real terms about the church's organization and order, and how this calling can help other people. I love hometeaching and I press my testimony about it, it works. It's always so significant to me to have the opportunity to help those families in need
