Hi I'm Barbara Thompson

I grew up in California. I raised a lovely family. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 7, grandmother of 31, and great grandmother of a whole lot more. I love to sew and make patchwork and applique quilts and thoroughly enjoy making my own cards. I love to read. My husband and I had a sheep ranch.

Why I am a Mormon

All my life I had three questions. "Where did I come from? Why am I here? Where am I going?" Every time I would ask my preacher these questions he would say something to the effect, "Some things we just don't know." Then one day two young men in white shirts and ties came knocking on the door and wanted to speak with me. I told them if they could answer my three questions I would listen. When I asked them the questions, their faces lit up and had complete answers for me and I knew their words were true as the Spirit bore witness to my soul. It made me so happy and I joined the church.

How I live my faith

I enjoy working in my church as a compassionate service leader where I helped people when they were ill or in need of someway such as had a new baby or whatnot. I would visit and see what they may need and help orchestrate meals to be brought in to somehow lighten their load.
