Hi I'm Kea

I grew up in the United States. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to read books, sing, write stories, bead, embroider, and enjoy the outdoors with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church. I wasn't always sure about the church growing up, but I loved the people and the messages the gospel had for me. Then I went on a youth trip, to a special place in New York, called the sacred grove. We were all asked to go to a quiet spot and pray. I had decided then that I would sincerely pray to God and ask Him for guidence. I felt the Spirit so strongly, and I felt the truth of the gospel and the Church immediately. It has been such a dear part of my testimony and at the core of who I am today.

How I live my faith

I have three callings, or responsibilities within the Church. I am a ward missionary. In other words, I help the missionaries in their teaching. I also help to make investigators or visitors feel welcome. I am also a choristor( fancy way of saying that I wave my hand around in time to the music) in two of the meetings that occur on Sundays.

Why is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints called Mormons or Mormonism?

The real name of the church is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We are often referred to and recognized by the nickname "Mormons", because of our belief in the Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon is a second testament of Christ meant to work with and elaborate on the teachings found in the Bible. Both are the word of God. Show more Show less
