Hi I'm Sabrina Thomas

I've battled chronic disease all my life and through faith in Christ I've found healing and happiness. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was sick most of my life with many rough afflictions including Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, and endometriosis. I didn't have the opportunity to physically attend high school but did it at home; at first I was very lonely having lost all my school friends over time; but I found acceptance and support through both my family and the wonderful ward members that always looked out for me and made sure I felt loved. I recently went through a life altering pain rehabilitation program and now I love to go hiking, camping, and spending time enjoying God's beautiful creations. I also like spending time making things (especially jewelry!) and enjoy cultivating my talents. I'm preparing to leave on my mission in October; this is something I never even imagined was a possibility for me! I've truly seen the miracles that can come from faith in Christ! For years I could barely leave my home and required the assistance of a cane at only 17! Now at 19 "I can do all things through Christ which strenghtheneth me." (Philippians 4:13)

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Mormon church and continue to follow the gospel because I know without a doubt that it is true. I have seen and experienced miracles throughout my life and I have felt the pure love of Christ daily. I know that the church was restored to the earth by the prophet Joseph Smith and that God has called his prophets in this modern day. I know that the Book of Mormon is true, and that it is another testament of Jesus Christ provided for us so that we can learn and grow through the stories shared in it's pages. I know that if you sincerely pray to God to know the truth, you will receive your answers through the holy spirit and through inspiration. God loves us and he want's us to be happy!

How I live my faith

I received my first calling when I was twelve and have had opportunities to be in multiple leadership positions throughout my time in the church's young women's program. I got to organize activities and events, as well as work with a group of amazing girls and make sure that everyone felt loved and included. This really helped me to grow and learn about Christlike love and charity. Now that I'm older I'm preparing to serve an LDS mission in Richmond, Virginia. I will be giving 18 months of my life to God and can't wait to spread his word and do his work!
