Hi I'm Rob Harker

I was born and raised in Orem, Utah. I am a chess enthusiast, a nature lover, a people person, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a recent highschool graduate and I consider myself a realistic optimist! Meeting new people and hearing their stories is my favorite pass time. I also love the outdoors--be it climbing, hiking, camping, paddle boarding, I love it all. Additionally I'm a chess fanatic, so basically playing chess outdoors with a bunch of people is my idea of a hype time. Sitting in classrooms is very tough for me but all the same I am planning on going to college. I've got a natural inclination towards business and I've got big aspirations to one day start up my own company.

Why I am a Mormon

To be fair I've been raised in a Mormon family and in a Mormon community my whole life. However, this gospel resonates with me, unlike anything I've ever come across. If I didn't feel the spirit or some testament that this gospel was true I would not be a member. It's a lot to commit to but the blessings and direction I've received have been easily worth it. I guess the bottom line is that I feel a unique joy from this gospel I have found nowhere else--that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Every day I try a little harder to be a little better! Honestly tho, I live this gospel in baby steps. Studying the scriptures, praying daily, attending church services and the temple are all huge parts of the way I live my faith.
