Hi I'm Case

I grew up in a tiny town in Wyoming. Serving in the Los Angeles, California Mission for 2018-19. I am a Mormon.

About Me

My hometown has 600 people in it, my entire high school fits onto one bus. We're pretty small. Anything outdoors, you name it, I've probably done it, and most likely love doing it. Where I'm from, we love shooting, fishing, hiking, and my personal favorite, rappelling. I also love music, not just listening, but performing. I built myself an acoustic guitar in high school, and play it all the time. My next passion is history, and after serving my mission, I plan to go to college and get a degree in Secondary Education to teach high school social studies. In short, my life is dominated by my love for God, the world He gave us, with a couple other hobbies thrown in as well.

Why I am a Mormon

I can't say that I have a miraculous conversion story. I was born into the church, and like most children and teenagers, for the longest time, I attended because my parents dragged me there. But then I began to realize that at some point, they had stopped asking me to come. They had stopped waking me up and telling me to get dressed, and yet I still did it. I believed that what they taught at church was true, but I never had the strong testimony that I always saw others bear, and I always wished that I did. My testimony didn't begin to grow until I began to apply to serve a mission. As I interviewed for the final submission of my papers, I came to the honest conclusion that I wasn't ready. I wasn't fit to serve the Lord, and I confessed this during that interview. From that moment on, I knew that God was real, because the peace and love that I felt in that moment could not have come from any other source. And that's not to say that I was perfect from then on, because none of us are perfect. I am far from it. But I know, without a shadow of a doubt, that God is real, and that He knows each and every one of us. I know that His Son atoned for our sins, and that if we are but willing to come unto Him and repent, He will be eagerly willing to bear our burdens and strengthen us in all of our weaknesses. I testify to all who read this that the Lord loves us beyond our comprehension, and that if you place your trust in Him, He will not fail you.

How I live my faith

As I write this, I am departing for the Mexico Missionary Training Center in 13 days. I will live my faith by striving, with my utmost ability, to bring as many others as I can to the knowledge of the gospel, and to grow closer to their Heavenly Father, and Jesus Christ. I am an active member in planning our youth group activities, and in organizing and helping with service projects as often as is possible. I teach in the youth classes occasionally, and prepare the Sacrament Table every Sunday before church meetings begin.
