Hi I'm Joanna

I grew up in North Carolina. I love doing family history. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just finished my first year at college and loved it. I am the oldest child out of six. I am about to serve a mission for 18 months. I love music and play the flute and sing. I love volleyball and running. I plan on teaching elementary school. I just love all kinds of people. Service is so important to me.

Why I am a Mormon

Without the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in my life, I would be lost. The church gives me so much purpose to my life and guides me to be a better daughter, better student, and better member of the community. The love and belonging I feel pushes me to keep going through difficult times in my life. This church gives me hope and joy that can compare to nothing else in my life. I love how family is such a central aspect to the gospel and that I have the hope to be with them for eternity. Our leaders serve the church with no salary. They are happy to be serving the Lord and the people in the community. At church, I feel apart of a family and I can go anywhere in the world to feel that. I can go to a ward across the world and it will still feel like home. I love this church because I feel of his love through the members, leaders, and the Book of Mormon. I know the Book of Mormon is true and that God has called a prophet to this day and age to help us follow Him.

How I live my faith

In my college ward I served other young adults by teaching them the doctrines of the gospel. I love doing family history and learning more about my ancestors. I am about to devote 18 months of my life to serving the Lord and others far from home.
