Hi I'm Shae

I grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada. I love the lake, the gym, the beach, traveling, and watching sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I attend Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. I am a huge fan of BYU sports. Growing up in Las Vegas taught me to love big, exciting attractions and events, which helped me chose to major in Experience Design and Management. I love my family and spending as much time as possible in the sunshine- whether it be playing tennis, wakeboarding, hiking, or Jeeping.

Why I am a Mormon

Though I was born into the LDS church, my testimony has been changing and growing my entire life. I was baptized at 8 and my faith in the gospel truly started growing when I began reading from the Book of Mormon on my own every night. I have had a lot of faith building experiences, but what has always stuck out to me is that what I put into the gospel I get out. When I'm trying my best to study and live the gospel, Heavenly Father answers my prayers and pours blessings down on me. When I make mistakes or need to be better, I know I can rely on Jesus Christ's atonement to help me feel clean and happy again. Through the Holy Ghost, I often get small, happy impressions that choosing to study, live, and share the gospel is the best thing for me, and I credit Heavenly Father for all the blessings and joy in my life.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday in the young single adult ward. I work as a ward missionary, assisting the full-time missionaries who are serving in Las Vegas. I am assigned to visit members of my church group on a monthly basis and check in on how they are doing. Currently, I am preparing to serve my church in Bangkok, Thailand for a year and a half. This has lead me to spend a part of my day, everyday, studying the Thai language and the basics of the gospel. I live my faith by applying what I learn from prophets and my scriptures to my everyday actions.
