Hi I'm Elder Javier

Currently serving in the Washington Spokane Mission. I am a medical student and I am a Mormon

About Me

I am studying Bachelor of Medical Technology in our province. I like playing piano since I was a child. The church has a great contribution in enhancing my talent because I am serving as the branch pianist. I am also a part of an newspaper organization in high school wherein I was called as the Associate Editor-in- Chief. I do love reading and writing.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were both members of the Church. In fact, they were both returned missionaries. But despite of this, I have learn for myself to ask our Father in Heaven if this is His true church built on earth. The answers came in different ways. First, I saw how my family was being blessed because of living the gospel. We have contentions but we know how to forgive each other. Second, every time I am in the church attending meetings and activities, I felt joy and satisfied. I just cannot help it. I just love the relationships I have with my leaders and friends in church. The programs are all focused on the welfare of the souls, on how they can help others receive the full blessings of the gospel. Lastly, the Spirit testified to me that this is the Lord's church; that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God and that the Book of Mormon is true. I cannot deny what I felt every time I ask God. Every thing that is being done in the church will enable us to return to our Eternal Father. I know that this is the only church that teaches the fulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. And I will be eternally grateful for this blessing.

How I live my faith

I worked as a branch missionary in the church. I helped every missionary assigned in our branch to find those people to teach and share my testimony as well as member of the church. I also had the opportunity to teach my fellow youth despite of my weaknesses. I do not ignore those opportunities to serve the Lord in my own small and simple ways. I fulfill my calling as a branch pianist even though I am not as great like others. I just do what I know for I know that the Lord sees my effort to magnify my calling. Also when I am outside the church, I always see to myself that I maintain my standard despite some peer pressure. I learn to be a good example to others to show my discipleship to God. I always read the scriptures, pray and attend church every Sundays.
