Hi I'm Sawyer Crosby

My name is Sawyer Crosby. I am currently serving a 2-year mission in Laoag, Philippines. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am not a mom or a dad. I love my religion. When I was in high school, I ran cross country and track, and although I never really tried, was able to participate in varsity my senior year (slowest of varsity). I love to snowboard. I would go snowboarding about 3-4 times a week during high school. I was able to do this because I did running start through high school, so I graduated high school with my associates degree. When I return from my mission, I will attend BYU-I for my undergraduate degree, and then apply to law school at some other places.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love this faith. I was born into it, and knew it was true ever since I was a young boy. I grew up listening to stories such as the stripling warriors of Helaman, and Moroni and the title of liberty. But, after rereading the book of mormon for the second time, I was really struck by it's truth, and that there was no possible way a 18 year old farmboy could have fantasized about such deep doctrine that has basis in the bible and especially Isaiah.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving a two year mission, and spreading what I know to be true to the people of the Philippines who need hope. I will be giving them the truth, and helping them to see for themselves how they can gain salvation. I will be putting everything I can into this. And it will be very hard.
