Hi I'm Jared Winkelman

I grew up in kaysville Utah. I graduated from Davis high school. I'm a Mormon and will be serving an LDS mission in Puerto Rico.

About Me

I went to Davis high school. I enjoy being with friends doing almost anything. I am a very active guy, I love to play almost every sport, especially soccer and basketball. I was on the Davis high cross country and track team and loved my coaches and teammates.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon first of all because of a man named Joseph smith who restored gods true church to this earth along with the power and authority to administer ordinances through the priesthood (or power of God). I am also a Mormon because my ancestors faith in God and his gospel. My ancestors traveled as pioneers across the US to get to the Salk lake valley, to where I am today. They sacrificed their wordly possessions, homes, and some even their own lives. It was a hard thing for them to do but they had so much faith and knew that this church was true so they did it anyway. I am so glad that they did because I wouldn't be who and where I am today if they didn't. I feel that it is now my turn to leave my home and all my worldly possessions to go serve the people of Puerto Rico and bring happiness into their lives through the gospel as I have felt this happiness for myself and I know that this is gods true church and I hope I can bring as many people into it as I can.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going to church every week and partaking of the sacrament to renew my baptizimal covenant with God and to learn how I can become more like my savior Jesus Christ. I do my best to study my scriptures and pray to God daily for added strength to help me get through the temptations of sin and to help me become the best person I can be.
