Hi I'm Jacob

Grew up in Gresham Oregon, a convert to the church. I love the church everyday!

About Me

I'm a convert to the church! I learned about it in the fall of 2011, and instantly fell in love with it! I will be attending college and hopefully involved in their Arts. I love interacting with people and hearing a sorts of different views. I have a younger sister and older brother. Family is a big part of my life, and is the center of all our beliefs! I'm looking forward to being a dad and raising a family! Some of my interests are Theater (Theater tech especially), Hiking, Swimming, and being with my family!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the peace it brings. Being Mormon helps me understand God's plan for us, and why we are here on this earth. It offers great opportunities to serve and help those who are in need. This brings joy just like many other things in the church! I also love the amount of compassion, and support other members have for each other. They are so caring and loving for everyone that it makes you feel at home. They include you, and will help you at a moments notice. The first time I was introduce to this church I had a sense of peace and comfort that touched me like no other church did. This stuck to me, and I have had this feeling so strong ever sense. This church is a church of love, and peace. This is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by example! I love serving and helping those not only in our local ward areas but also my family friends, and neighbors. Service is a great way to show our faith to God, and also show others that we care about them. It is such a fun way to get to know people and help those in need. A great way we live by our faith is by being friendly and talking to those who want to talk and listen! I live my faith by teaching others each month, and teaching lessons in church. I learn a lot by teaching others and this grows my faith so much! I have held leadership positions in my ward that have helped me learn how important it is that we love one another and include everyone! This is one of the most important aspects of the gospel that I love about it! Everyone is included and no one turned away!
